The Hope House  Welcome Week Activities

Make your first 15 days UNFORGETTABLE

Thursday, Aug. 12, 6:30pm-8:30pm                Winner Winner Fresh-People Dinner
DUE TO COVID NUMBERS, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED.
Welcome to UTC, Fresh and Transfer Friends! After a hard day of moving in are you already homesick for a home cooked meal? Drop in for a fried chicken dinner with all the fixings between 6:30-8:30pm at the Hope House while supplies last! Bring your parents (or not). Visit our Fairly Decent Coffee House downstairs. Check out our great study spaces and free amenities (did someone say free laundry??).

(Every) Sunday, Aug. 15, 11:30am Sunday Worship w/ Renaissance Presbyterian Church
Hope House partners every Sunday with Renaissance Presbyterian Church, a congregation located in the Westside. Join us for worship at 11:30am. For now, Renaissance meets online. You can join via FB Live or Zoom (Meeting ID: 897 4461 4522 Password: 1234).  For more information visit www.RenaissancePC.org.

Monday, Aug. 16, 6:00pm                   A Walk in Our Shoes
A joint program between UTC Honors College and Hope House, this month A Walk in Our Shoes will explore, listen, and learn what it's like to be a first generation American. This month we'll meet at Hope House in the coffee shop, but join every 3rd Monday of the month to explore the stories of those whose voices are often silenced.  Masks are required for attendance.

(Every) Tuesday, Aug. 17, 11:30am-2:00pm                   Hope’s Free Tuesday Lunch
Hope’s weekly Free Tuesday lunch is kicking off today. We’ll start serving at 11:30am. In the interest of safety for you, staff, and volunteers, all food will be prepared in a to-go box to be eaten off the premises on one of our picnic blankets, porches, or in a spot of your choosing.

(Every) Tues, Wed, Thurs, 4:00pm-6:00pm   Literacy and Arts Program at Renaissance (Volunteer Opportunity)
Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:00-6:00pm Hope House partners with Renaissance Presbyterian Church’s reading program. Renaissance Presbyterian Church, a small congregation located in the middle of low income housing in the Westside, offers a reading program where children and adults take turns to reading to one another.  Meet at Renaissance Presbyterian Church (1211 Boynton Ave) or meet email HopeUTC@gmail.com if you'd like to carpool.   To learn more about Renaissance Presbyterian Church, visit www.RenaissancePC.org.  Unfortunately, due to the high infection rates of COVID in Hamilton County, this program will be temporarily canceled until further notice.

(Every) Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1:00pm-2:00pm         Bible Study
Join us for our weekly Bible Study with Renaissance Presbyterian Church. You may join Tricia in person at Hope or join us online via zoom (Meeting ID: 826 5815 2137 Password: 1234) or FB Live. To see what we're studying, click here.
