the table*
If we believe in a God who not only chose to empty God's self into the form of a poor, brown, refugee baby while walking this earth, but who also spent most of his ministry standing with and for the marginalized, what does it look like to read scripture and hear scripture with the marginalized voices of today? Steeped in courageous conversation group norms, we seek to provide a vulnerable and equitable space during our conversation to lift voices often silenced. We will begin our time with a meal. *the table is modeled after the understanding that at God's table all are welcomed and affirmed in our identity, and nothing, no one nor institution can ever separate us from the love of God. The Hope House celebrates diversity and difference as gifts. |
